One Short Day...
Gettysburg

DONT MAKE ME CUT A BITCH
I woke up happy, very excited that we were finally going to Gettysburg, until mom told me that Patrick decided to tag along as well. I was pretty pissed about that for a while. And still am cuz he didnt keep to the 'in order for me to go to gettysburg i must be a good boy' promise. and ruined it, thank god we were leaving then anyway.
So i heard another cardinal this morning before we left!! I followed his song and he was sooo pretty... >.< I love cardinals...

So back to Gettysburg, when we got there we checked out the museum and watched this neat electric map that showed the formation of the troops in all 3 days. Then we went to Jennie Wade's house. That was pretty cool. For those who don't know, Jennie Wade was the only civilian in the Battle of Gettysburg who was killed, and by a stray bullet. We had to pay for the tour but i think it was worth it. I really liked the story the tour guide told about the days before Jennie's death. It made it sadder o-o The house still has a few bullet holes, most of them were fixed up though. Didn't get to see any ghosts or spiritual activity, but i sure could feel it. It was just this weird uneasy feeling. I didn't like being there. Expecially the cellar. *shudders* There were bullentin boards with all this pictures of ghosts on them. They were pretty creepy... There were no actual ghosts, but i mean there were shadows and stuff.
And yes, i do believe in ghosts sometimes. When its things like this then i do. They are more like spirits than ghosts to me though. But that was the only thing closest to ghosts/spirits at all; an uneasy feeling.
After Jennie Wade's house we did the Auto Tour thing and went to a few of the monuments and Pickett's Charge. I got to run up it, but only a little bit -_- mom called me back as soon as i got running. Plus i didnt have shoes o-o' i only had my screwed up sandles.
We stopped at Devil's Den and that was pretty cool. Got to clib up to the top of the rocks ^^

Gettysburg wasn't what I really hoped for... I want to go back again some day, when it's really early in the morning though. So there wont be as many tourists and ill be able to really..feel it, you know? And ill be able to actually run the whole Pickett's Charge like ive dreamed of since 8th grade. Even if it was the Confederate's charge >> it was one of the the main turning points in the whole war. but yes, some day ill go back.
Oh, and people really ruined it with all the damn monuments, holy crap.. Some monuments are good, like the ones in D.C. are fine and dandy with me, but they over did it in Gettysburg.
